Summer In The Vineyard

The Season Continues

Summer brings warm weather and dry conditions to Napa Valley. Vines grow and develop rapidly from new buds in March, to full length shoots with developing clusters of grapes in July. During this time, many hours are spent in the vineyard managing the growing shoots in order to provide the optimum balance of sunlight exposure and shade to develop and ripen the crop. This time of year plays a large part in the expression "great wine is made in the vineyard".
